Copperwitch offers bespoke ceremonies
to make your big day truly special.
My wife Lauren and I design our handfastings, naming ceremonies and other spiritual rites of passage around your personal needs. We may journey to you, or can suggest beautiful settings in Mid Wales and the Borders for your special day.
We are both fully initiated to the 3rd degree and work together as High Priest and High Priestess. I have nearly thirty years of ritual experience and Lauren is an experienced healer, teacher and writer.
To officiate at a simple ceremony our fees start at £150 plus travel expenses, which gives you a choice between our standard rituals or the option of writing your own.
Most couples choose our bespoke service at £250 plus travel expenses and have a truly unique ceremony. This service includes writing a personalised ritual for you, a rehearsal at our home, or over the telephone if preferred, and keepsakes including especially mixed incense, a decorated broomstick for you to jump over together and a handmade ritual book which has space for all of your guests to add their blessings.
We supply an attractive altar dressed to match your colour theme, or you are welcome to provide your own altar. We have all the necessary ritual items for you to borrow, including chalice, sword, pentacle and wand, but any of them can be substituted for your own personal items if preferred.
We lend the sword, but you supply the cake!
Our sword was created using a bronze blade that I watched being cast locally by Dave at the Cryndir. I then hand finished the blade and crafted a copper and brass hilt and bog oak wood handle, insetting the pommel with a beautiful lapis lazuli cabochon.
A similar sword to ours would cost you around £600 as it took me eight days to make, however I can craft a simple wooden handled, hand cast bronze bladed sword for £200 if you wanted one to keep.

Please book us well in advance of your big day if you'd like the pair of us to officiate as Lauren has therapy teaching obligations at weekends and is often booked up six months in advance. I am however happy to work solo if need be.
